Today’s Deal on Fire is the Blu-ray for Jackie Chan’s Skiptrace, an action comedy directed by Renny Harlin (Die Hard 2).

For years, by-the-book Hong Kong detective Benny Chan (Chan) has tried to avenge his partner’s murder at the hands of a drug lord. When Benny learns that freewheeling American gambler Connor Watts (Johnny Knoxville) has the evidence he needs, he teams with Connor to get justice. Now all Benny and Connor have to do is survive the fight of their lives—and each other!

Skiptrace also stars Fan Bingbing (The White Haired Witch of Lunar Kingdom), WWE’s Eve Torres (The Scorpion King 4: Quest for Power), Michael Wong (Zombie Fight Club) and Eric Tsang (The Last Blood).

So I guess they’re gonna spend their free time on the set comparing scars? 🙂

I don’t see a Harvey company listed on there, so at least that’s good.

Skiptrace dosnt want to lose toward Ip Man

This looks like something that will go straight to DVD/On demand in America/UK. Sad to see Jackie Chan sliding into those.

  8. Dan says:

I’m glad to see Jackie is till “retired” from making action movies, lol. This doesn’t actually look as bad as it sounded when it was first announced.

  9. Jerry Johnson says:

Please Jackie needs to retire from acting and start directing some stuff with maybe the occasional cameo. He could be the next Lau Kar Leung.

  10. Paul Bramhall says:

This is the most bizarre poster campaign I’ve come across, do they not trust that the movie itself is enough to make people go to the cinema, so they have to remind people of Chan’s movies from his physical heyday!? It’s like promoting ‘Gran Torino’ with an image of ‘A Fistful of Dollars’.

  11. Jerry Johnson says:

I have seen the movie and it is a 2/10 at best. There are scenes where Jackie and knoxville have conversations about things they have never even talked about before as if they had been buddies for a long time. The fights are same old recycled stuff Chan has been doing for the past 10yrs only done a lot crappier. The plot is obvious and the acting is overall bad. did I mention Jackie sings Adeles Rolling in the Deep? I also tried watching Who Am I 2015 the remake. Jackie produced and it stars a lot of his team and Ken Lo and Yu Rongguong. It is also pretty terrible. Jackie needs to give us one badass farewell movie where he gives it his all. That means no doubles and good choreography. Then he can stay behind the scenes and stick to cameos.

    • 🙁 sucks. I was semi-looking forward to this one. Thanks for the head up.

really??? i thought the movie was good better than most the crap you see these days from typical hollywood. 2/10??? wtf.. this made $60 million in China in 4 days, and doesnt get released in cinemas in the west.. and gets 2/10 review lol… what garbage.. i enjoyed it not one single part of the film was boring… where as hollywood does nothing but make boring movies these days… top notch for me.
