Today’s Deal on Fire is the Blu-ray for Ekachai Uekrongtham’s Skin Trade (read our review), starring Tony Jaa (Paradox) and Dolph Lundgren (Black Water).
With nothing but vengeance to live for, detective Nick Cassidy (Lundgren) ransacks his way through the Bangkok underworld in pursuit of Viktor Dragovic, the human trafficker who attempted to kill his family. As the crossfire grows more deadly, FBI Agent Eddie Reed is sent to bring Nick home, while Thai detective Tony Vitayakui (Jaa) questions the motives and methods that have brought Nick across the globe. Through dire circumstances, detectives Cassidy and Vitayakui must come together to destroy Dragovic’s human trafficking network.
Skin Trade also stars Ron Perlman (Hellboy), Michael Jai White (Accident Man), Celina Jade (Wolf Warrior 2), Peter Weller (Dragon Eyes) and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa (Showdown in Manila).

So does this count as an unofficial sequel to Showdown in Little Tokyo? 🙂
That’s what I thought… Also why is it called Skin Trade that sounds more like a porno. Shouldn’t this be called Bangkok Connection or Thai Vengeance
Because the villains are dealers in the “skin trade” and it directly affects the heroes.
Nice to hear that Dolph Lundgren is still intending on making SKIN TRADE(which he’s worked on filming for the last few years) and is reuniting with Tony Jaa in it(with Jaa now in Steven Seagal’s originally intended role).
Sweet. I reviewed Beautiful Boxer back in the day. http://www.cityonfire.com/thai/beautifulboxer.html
hopefully this flick won’t stink like ong bak 2 and 3.
goooooooooooood
With these additions i’m actually starting to look forward to this movie. Of course we all know that Dolph peaked in the Universal Soldier series.
Hiii Tony jaa.
I am you fan so wait for your movie in
Cinema. I live India(Tamil Nadu) first time you
Police actor how do You feel? And you ating a
movie I did’t miss a movie bye tony jaa
It appears Tony Jaa’s team posted it a bit early as this is not the final poster.
As soon as I saw your “pre-order” link I clicked on it. But… $30 fucking dollars?! Seriously? I rarely even pay that much for a Criterion release. What gives with the outrageous price? Damn, I already payed to see it “On Demand”, and now they want to assault my wallet so viciously for a Blu-ray? If that price doesn’t come down, I’ll wait a few months and buy it used somewhere.
Looking forward to this. Hope it gets a decent blu ray release in the UK fairly soon.
Not too keen on the cover though. It looks like Tony Jaa is emerging out of Dolph Lungren’s backpack.
Have you seen 2015 s Skin Trade yet, if so we want to know what was your favorite thing about the film?
We have a review here: http://www.cityonfire.com/skin-trade-2014-review/
What happened, we used to get such energetic martial arts flicks like this (The last fun 80s Action throwback) Universal Soldier Regeneration,Day Of Reckoning, Blood and Bone, Undisputed 2-3 and we’ll even Ninja… But not a damn thing. It’s like the early b90s all over again when we got King Of the Kickboxers, Kickboxer,Bloodsport and even Bloodfist II and then it was over Johnny.
