  1. The Chaser… it is entertaining as hell. Paced just right. It’s brutal, dark, funny, bloody and beautiful. One of the best flicks I’ve seen, period. Love the fact that the good guy is a pimp. lol

  2. Ben says:

Hands down, I’d have to say Infernal Affairs is my favorite crime thriller. As I watched the Infernal Affairs trilogy, I began to sympathize with all the characters, so that later I didn’t really view anyone as a “bad guy.”

  3. Alan tan says:

I saw the devil, was brilliantly scripted, and the plot twists made it really worth while watching it and it’s sheer brutality is anything I have seen

  4. Matthew A. says:

One of my favorite crime thrillers would be Seven, I think Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman had great chemistry together and I loved the story and brutality of Kevin Spacey’s character.

  5. Nick EML says:

So many to pick from. Recently I watched I Saw the Devil and wow, what a crazy thriller. I love how it went from quiet to violent, the twistedness of it, and just how unpredictable it felt.

  6. Jeff says:

Saw ‘The Chaser’ a couple of times and still one of the most exciting crime thrillers out there. Brutally good with a great pace that keeps intensifying until the very end.

  7. Andy says:

I love Se7en, I Saw The Devil is amazing, two of my fav actors in the same movie: Choi Min-Sik & Lee Byung-Hun! I’ll be adding The Usual Suspects and Jack Reacher to the list.

  8. Mo says:

Funny enough, one of my favorite thrillers is the similarly titled (and also Korean) “Memories of Murder”. Every viewing feels fresh and the performances are top notch. If you haven’t seen it, please do. It’s a film “based on a true story” about Korea’s first serial killer. It’s directed by Bong Joon-ho (“Snowpiercer”, “Mother”, “The Host”) and stars Song Kang-ho (“The Good, the Bad, the Weird”, “J.S.A.”). When letting friends borrow my copy of the film, I tell them it’s like “Se7en”, but – you know…better. haha.

  9. Sheila Faith says:

I too like “The Chaser”. It was one of the first Korean movies I saw in this genre and I was hooked! It had me hooked with the superb acting and storyline. I recommend it to everyone I meet when I talk about Asian movies.

  10. Erik Wilking says:

The first thing I thought of was The Maltese Falcon, but that’s more of a noir mystery than crime thriller. So I will say my favorite crime thriller is The Usual Suspects. I can enjoy watching that one over and over even though I already know the twist. Coincidentally it shares Kevin Spacey from another popular choice on this forum, Se7en.

  11. Prodigal Son says:

I Saw the Devil because it was gruesome and disturbing.

  12. Ronny Bengtsson says:

    Hi!
My favorite crime-thriller that was kind of difficult 🙂 But after thought a little about it I think I choose Umberto Lenzis wonderful Almost Human (Milano odia: la polizia non può sparare) from 1974. I really love those italian genre movies and specially the crime movies. Almost Human has some great acting from Tomas Milian and Henry Silva and it’s quite a nasty movie that includes kidnapping, rape, robbery and a lot of violence and murders. The movie have everything you need to get an nasty actionmovie, I totally love it. And on top of that you have Ennio Morricone scoring the music. Thumbs up from me 🙂

  13. Andrew says:

I’m going to have to go with the Dark Knight. It’s rare that I go see a movie multiple times at the theater (esp. with the prices now days) but that movie just gripped me from start to finish, and I ended up going 3x. The funny thing is I’m not that big of a batman fan, but it’s one of the best crime/thriller’s that I’ve ever seen!
